Japanese Standard Channel Steel (JIS Channel) is a C-section steel manufactured according to Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS) and is widely used in construction, machinery manufacturing, bridges, ships, vehicles and other fields.
The JIS standard grade channel steel is a C-shaped section. The flanges and web of the channel steel form an open section, which provides good bending and shear resistance. This open section shape makes the channel steel perform well when subjected to axial pressure and is easy to connect with other components.

The specifications of JIS standard channel steel are usually expressed in height (h), flange width (b) and web thickness (t), such as 100×50×5, which means the height is 100mm, the flange width is 50mm, and the web thickness is 5mm.
