AR450/450F abrasion resistant steel plate

AR450 and AR450F Wear Resistant Steel Plate is one kind of abrasion resistant steel plate with quenched, tempered, through-hardened plate. It is an high-endurance steel with long lasting results.

What the AR450F mean?
"AR" is the abbreviation of "Abrasion Resistant"
"450" indiate the steel has a nominal hardness of 450 Brinell
"F" denotes a particular grade of AR steel has enhanced formability compared to other AR grades.

What's difference of AR400, AR450 and AR500?

It's easy to find the difference by the brinell hardness number:

• Hardness of AR400: 360-440 typically
• Hardness of AR450: 430-480 BHN typically
• Hardness of AR500: 460-544 BHN typically
• Hardness of AR600: 570-625 BHN typically

Except hardness,As a general rule, AR400 and AR450 have good formability combined with good hardness. But AR500 and AR600 will last longer and need to be replaced less often for projects that actually beat up the material.
