What is H-beam?

Difference between H-beam and I-beam
Basics of H-beam and I-beam
As the name suggests, H-beam is an H-shaped structural member made of rolled steel, also known as a wide-flange beam.
It is one of the most commonly used structural members in the United States. Its cross-section looks like an "H", it is very strong, and the cross-sectional surface area of the beam is large.
On the other hand, I-beam is also called H-beam, but its cross-section looks like an "I". It is basically a rolled steel beam or a beam with a capital I in the cross-section.
