Hot rolled steel billet

Hot rolled steel billet or Hot Rolled Steel Bar is obtained after casting of steel made in steel furnaces, hot-rolled steel billet is originally steel, through the processing can be used for mechanical parts, forgings, processing of various steel, section steel, channel steel, wire is the role of billet. Hot-rolled steel billet bar is a semi-finished product used in the production of steel, generally it can not be used directly for social use.

In terms of chemical composition, hot-rolled steel billet is composed primarily of iron and carbon. They also contain elements such as silicon, sulfur, phosphorus, and manganese (Mn) to enhance specific mechanical properties or to provide unique characteristics for specific applications.

There are two ways for producing  steel billet:
1.  Basic Oxygen Furnace (BOF)
2.  Electric Arc Furnace (EAF)

The steel billet have many types,it can be:

• Flat Steel Bar-easy for cutting and processing
• Square Steel Bar-suitable for square tube, steel profiles
• Round Steel Bar-having high content of carbon
