EN 10130 cold rolled steel plate

EN 10130 cold rolled Steel Plate is one kind of cold rolled steel under European standard for cold rolled low Carbon steel. The carbon, Silicon, Manganese, Phosphorus, Sulfur are the main basic elements in  EN 10130.  The each chemical contents play different role for the product properties. The carbon will effect the harden of steel, silicon will improve the strengthen the strength. Like manganese, silicon is used to maintain the strength of steel during steel production.

There are five gardes under EN10130:

• DC01 (1.0330)
• DC03 (1.0347)
• DC04 (1.0338)
• DC05 (1.0312)
• DC06 (1.0873)
• DC07 (1.0898)

What the grade name such as "DC01" mean?

• "D" indicate the drawing flat products for cold forming
• "C" denotes the cold rolled
• "DC01" means drawing quality
• "DC03" means deep drawing quality
• "DC04", "DC05" means special deepdrawing quality
• "DC06" indicate extra deepdrawing quality
• "DC07" denotes super deep darwing quality

Surface quality:

1. Surface quality A
Defects such as pores, slight indentations, small marks, minor scratches and slight coloring that do not effect formability or the application of surfac coating are permitted.

2. Surface quality B
The better surface shall be free from defects which might affect the uniform appearance of a quality paint or an electrolytic coating. The other surface shall confrom at least to surface quality A.

Kindly noted:
When the thickness is ≤0.7 mm but >0.5 mm, the yield strength value should be increased by 20 MPa. For thicknesses ≤0.5 mm, the value should be increased by 40 MPa.
If  the thickness is ≤0.7 mm but >0.5 mm, the minimum value of elongation should be reduced by 2 units. For thicknesses ≤0.5 mm, the minimum value shall be reduced by 4 units.
