ASTM A677 is an American standard for falt-rolled non grain oriented electrical
Steel Coil. Under this standard the electrical steels are low carbon(carbon content is normally less than 0.020% ), silicon-iron, or silicon-aluminum-iron alloys containing up to about 3.5% silicon and a small amount of aluminum, the sulfur content is basically less than 0.025%, manganese is typically present in amounts between 0.10 to 0.40%.
