2. Different characteristics of oriented silicon steel and non-oriented silicon steel
Oriented silicon steel: The magnetism of oriented silicon steel has a very strong directionality. Its iron loss value is the lowest in the rolling direction, and its magnetic permeability is the highest. It has a high magnetic induction value under a certain magnetizing field. The silicon content of oriented silicon steel is about 3%, and the oxide inclusion content in the steel is required to be low. At the same time, it must contain some inhibitors (MnS, A1N).
Non-oriented silicon steel: Non-oriented silicon steel contains 0.8%-4.8% silicon ferrosilicon alloy, which is hot-rolled and cold-rolled into silicon steel sheets with a thickness of less than 1mm. Adding silicon to steel can increase the resistivity and maximum magnetic permeability of iron, reduce coercivity, core loss (iron loss) and magnetic aging.

3. Different production processes for steel coils
Oriented silicon steel: Oriented silicon steel is smelted in an oxygen converter, and then the billet is hot rolled, normalized, cold rolled, intermediate annealed and cold rolled to the finished thickness, then decarburized and annealed at high temperature, and finally coated with an insulating layer.
Non-oriented silicon steel: The molten iron is pre-desulfurized, and Ca0+CaF: flux or rare earth elements and calcium are added during converter blowing. The boiling molten steel is further desulfurized after vacuum treatment and decarburization. Ferrosilicon with low titanium and zirconium content is selected for alloying.
