The difference between oriented silicon Steel Coil and non-oriented silicon steel:

 1. Appliations is not the same.
Even oriented silicon steel and non-oriented silicon steel can be applied into motors, but motor is not the same, non oriented silicon steel sheet is mostly used for a motor or welding transformer core, while grain oriented silicon steel are used as the core of power transformers, pulse transformers and magnetic amplifiers.

2. The internal structure is not the same
The grains of oriented silicon steel are basically in one direction, so it is called oriented, non-oriented silicon steel, the grain arrangement is disorganized, so the oriented silicon steel heat loss is small, and the non-oriented silicon steel heat loss is large.

3. Silicon content
The silicon content of cold-rolled non oriented silicon steel is ranging from 0.5% to3.0%, while the silicon content of cold-rolled oriented silicon steel is more than 3.0%.

Non oriented electrical steel advantage and application:

1. High permeability, it means the non-oriented silicon steel it is better to absorb electrical energy and convert it into magnetic energy, so it can reduce the loss of energy. So it is a good choose of transformers, like medium and small power transformer, TV& radio transformer etc.

2.  Low core loss, this make it has small changes in the magnetic field, so power transformers can reduce the noise and vibration, this characteristic hepls it is very popupar in motors. becuase it can max the low core loss, so it is a core material of the generator.

3. Easy processing, helps it is easy to cutting, welding and punhing, make it will not have sureface deformation even under the conditions of high hardness and high strength.
